We want to honor our blood donors.
They save countless lives.
Blood donation is simple and life-saving. Just like donations to the Red Cross, our donors have their blood typed and screened for diseases. Our blood donor dogs just need to sit still for a few minutes and have a bit of hair shaved from their neck. It is painless and quick. Our donor cats sometimes need to be sedated and only have to have a bit of hair shaved from his neck.
There are animal blood banks throughout the US but they cannot keep up with the demand so we are very grateful to have our own pets here to save lives. At this time, we are not asking for community volunteers but we may in the future.
